Discover how alternate part numbers will create more meaningful aliases for products. The products’ generic UPC number can be used as the main inventory item, then you can add additional numbers that will be recognized easily by cashiers and support staff.
A streamlined, easy-to-use window allows quick creation of an unlimited number of alternate item numbers, or you can review and edit the ones already created. An Inventory Cross Reference report is included to provide a comprehensive list of Microsoft Dynamics™ GP items with their defined alternate item numbers.
By simply scanning or entering an alternate item number in the Retail Point of Sale Transaction Entry window, Purchase Order Entry window, Receiving Transaction Entry window, Inventory Transfers window, SOP Transaction Entry window, Item Transaction Entry window, Purchase Order Returns window, or the Retail Point of Sale Item Inquiry window, Inventory Cross Reference will convert the “alias” part number into the Dynamics GP product that it is associated with.
