Quick Pick Menus
Quick Pick Menu is robust and easy to use feature within Retail Point of Sale. The
fully customizable Menus are intuitive, efficient, and defined to conform to your
business needs allowing users to quickly navigate through windows and choose items
for transaction documents.
Quick Pick Menus provide alternatives to manually entering item numbers, scanning
items, or choosing an item from a lookup window when placing items on a transaction
document. The latest version of Retail Point of Sale has added enhanced features
to the Quick Pick Menu as described below.
Quick Pick Quantity @ “At”
Users have the ability to specify a specific quantity of the item they select from
the Quick Pick Menu. Once the quantity is entered and a selection is made, a line
is inserted with the unit cost multiplied by the quantity. When the user has completed
making selections from the Menu, all lines are returned to the POS Transaction Entry
window.
Promotional Pricing
Retail Point of Sale allows users to use the benefits of the Quick Pick Menu with
items associated with a Promotion. When items are selected that have an applied
promotion, the unit price is adjusted and returned to the POS Transaction Entry
window.
Instantaneous Inventory Allocation
Allocation when using the Quick Pick Menu takes place when the item is selected
from the Quick Pick Menu instead of when the item is returned to the POS Transaction.
Users may be notified (depending on your setup) if there is a quantity shortage.
